...and the Sensible Space Story.

Ann Smith Hodges, owner of Sensible Space, was directly involved in the construction and real estate industries for over 16 years both as a family member and part owner of Hobart Smith Homes in Charlotte, North Carolina.  One of the most rewarding aspects of her job was working with home buyers to select the decorator touches for their new home: bricks, paint colors, floor coverings, counter tops, etc.  Ann knows construction from the ground up!

In 2003, Ann took her extensive construction experience and knowledge, coupled that with concentrated decorating classes in Florida and opened Sensible Space.

Sensible Space is a full service decorating firm working with both residential and commercial clientele to achieve a balanced design best suited to their needs and, most importantly, their “wants and wishes”.

In order to better serve her clients, Ann has retail locations in BLACK LION/Pineville and Ashley Carol in Cornelius. Stocked with the finest accessories, artwork and furniture, Ann can offer her clients the “latest and the greatest” at competitive prices.  Custom orders and special requests are filled quickly.
